What you see is what the camera sees.

PromptMe is a simple macOS teleprompter. Your window and the camera display share one canvas, so every edit and every scroll lands on both at the same instant — and anyone with a phone on the same Wi‑Fi can run it.

The PromptMe operator window: a script picker and section tabs above a black canvas of large white teleprompter text, with transport and blackout controls in the toolbar.

One canvas, two screens

The operator window and the external display are the same text, not a copy of it. Nothing drifts out of sync mid‑take.

Blackout without losing your place

Send the output to black while you keep reading, scrolling, and editing on your side of the room.

Flip for beam splitters

Mirror the output horizontally or vertically for prompter glass. Your own window always stays readable.

Scripts and sections

A picker switches between scripts. Section tabs jump around inside one — paste a document with headings and the tabs build themselves.

Run it from your phone

Open one URL on the same Wi‑Fi to change speed, start and stop the scroll, and edit the script while the camera rolls.

Never loses your work

Every edit autosaves as you type. Quitting the app — or forgetting to — costs you nothing.

Installing

  1. Download the disk image and open it.
  2. Drag PromptMe into your Applications folder.
  3. Connect the display your talent will read from, and press Play.
